The Revolution - Reliance JIO Announced - Highlights
Jio, is not just another cellular operator in India. The concept of Jio is to provide "Digital Life" to their customers. From the beginning, We are hearing interesting updates of Jio and from the past few months, Jio is the most heard word among the people. It's offering unlimited calls, SMS, 4G data with JPO - Jio Preview offer among selected brands. India is eagerly waiting for Jio's commercial launch and today, on the occasion of Reliance Annual General Meeting, Mukesh Ambani announced the new child of the Reliance family - JIO! I'm sure, Jio is going to make history. Here are the highlights from the Annual General Meeting:
- Till now, Reliance offered JPO (Jio Preview Offer) only for a selected phones. From September 5th on wards, Jio is available to all with "Welcome Offer". Unlimited Calls, Unlimited SMS, Unlimited Data, Unlimited access to all Jio apps until December 31st, 2016.
- JIO commercial operations starts from Jan 1st, 2017.
- A peak download speed of upto 135 MBPS on the Jio network!
- No more queues to get Jio sim. Within 15 minutes by verifying your Aadhar, you can get Jio sim. Jio SIM cards to be issued on Aadhar-based eKYC or paperless CAF as well.
What's special with JIO?
No more paid calls!
Free Voice calls. Jio put an end to voice call charges in India (any network). You don't need to pay for voice calls.Unlimited data at Nights:
Jio is offering Unlimited 4G data at Night without any cap for all the plans. Jio is also offering WiFi hotspots data, as Jio is going to set up 1 million plus hotspots all over India.
Transparent plans:
Jio plans were announced. The below is the list of base plans, Jio is offering. There are no too much plans to confuse the people. Just 10 plans and all plans are offering Free calls and that's the highlight.Jio made history!
- Not in a few cities, not in a State and not in a Country. JIO created history in the world! Jio becomes the world's largest 4G VoLTE network and it's future generations ready (5G/6G)
- Currently India is in 155th position among all countries in terms of Internet usage / quality calls. with Jio, very soon, India is going to enter the list of Top 10.
No more call drops:
If you're an existing customer, you know the problem of connectivity issues to other operators from Jio. There will be no such issues from 1st January.
World's cheapest tariffs:
Jio plans are cheapest in the world. Starting base tariff is Rs. 149/- which offers free calls, unlimited access to Jio premium apps, 100 SMS and 0.3GB of data with a validity of 28 days. If you want more data, It's Rs. 50 per GB. If you're a heavy data user, the rates will be much more cheaper, i.e., lesser than Rs.50.
PAY EITHER FOR CALLS OR DATA: Jio put an end to paid calls. Calls are free to all networks from Jio.
Jio to create Revolution:
- With transparent and cheapest plans, Jio is soon going to capture the market. As per Jio estimates, by December 2017, Jio will have 90% of the Indian customers.
- By March 2016, Jio is supposed to have 90% of the coverage area.
No more blackout days:
At present, including BSNL, the PSU, Blackout days are there. Means, in festival times, your regular special tariffs or SMS offers will not work. Jio announced there will be no more blackout days.
Roaming free JIO:
Jio announced life long free roaming to all their customers. There will be no roaming charges.
Special benefits to Students:
Jio is offering 25% additional data to Students who have the valid Identity cards from their schools/colleges.
The secret behind the name - "JIO"
If you observe Jio in the mirror, It shows "Oil". Reliance journey from Oil to Jio! Ambani in his speech said, Jio is dedicated to Prime Minister's Digital India initiative.
New devices from JIO:
Finally, the war has begun now officially. Surely, JIO is going to make history and soon, India's is going to achieve Digital literacy. Ambani in his speech also said, 1GB port fiber connectivity to individual homes is also being prepared. However, the current top operators are in great danger that they're going to see hard times.
